The Founder’s Journey
Zee International was born not in a boardroom, but from a pivot. Our founder, Jacob, spent years entrenched in the hostile subsection of financial services - FX. Working as a licensed broker and later consulting for offshore firms entering the Australian market, he saw the mechanics of wealth up close. He successfully launched crypto startups and unified trading platforms, mastering the technicalities of assets and markets.
But as his career evolved, so did his perspective. He realised that the tools available were often predatory - designed for engagement, not empowerment. The shift wasn't just about moving from finance to technology; it was about moving from profit-driven algorithms to purpose-driven solutions.
Leadership & Philosophy
When asked if he ever envisioned himself leading a tech startup, Jacob’s answer defines Zee's culture:
"A Hedge Fund, maybe... I always knew I had founder's DNA, and the leadership skills to be an effective CEO, but I never thought it would be on the technical side. Being a CEO is a people game. It’s about identifying someone’s strengths and offsetting them against your own. Whether in tech, finance, or agriculture, it’s all the same. And that’s what Zee is - a company built on leveraging the strengths of one another to offset weaknesses."
